Police Arrest University Student Suspected in Grisly Murder of Girlfriend in Port Harcourt

In a shocking turn of events in Port Harcourt, the Rivers State capital, the police have apprehended Okoligwe Damian, a 400-level Petrochemical Engineering student at the University of Port Harcourt, in connection with the alleged murder of Justina Nkang, a 300-level Biochemistry student and his presumed girlfriend.

The 20-year-old victim, Justina, had been reported missing for four days before her lifeless body was discovered in Damian’s residence, where she had been staying.

The grisly scene came to light when an observant neighbour noticed a putrid odour emanating from the suspect’s apartment, prompting them to alert the authorities.

Upon arriving at the scene, the police forced open the door, only to be met with a gruesome sight – the dismembered remains of Justina were found concealed in a Ghana-must-go bag.

In a perplexing twist, Damian, the prime suspect, claimed innocence during a press interview, stating, “I slept in the parlour while she slept in the room, and when I woke up, I found her dead.”

The investigation into this horrifying incident continues as authorities work to unravel the mystery surrounding Justina’s tragic demise.
