A renowned broadcaster, Alhaji Waheed Akintayo better known as Ilumoka Presenter has congratulated all returning and newly elected Oyo State Executive members of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) at the just concluded state congress, held at Adamashinga, Ibadan.
Waheed Akintayo, who is a prominent member of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and GSMist PRO in Oluyole Local Government area made the congratulatory message in a statement he personally signed and made available to journalists on Monday.
Waheed Akintayo , who specifically congratulated Hon. Wasiu Adeleke who was returned as the party’s scribe, stated that Adeleke has become a factor to be reckoned with in the politics of Oyo State.
According to him, there is no gainsaying the fact that Hon. Wasiu Adeleke, my political mentor and leader is more suitable for the position of party Secretary taking into consideration his experience, charisma and past record in the politics of Oyo State.
He is a die hard lover and supporter of good governance as exemplified by our amiable Governor in the State, Engr. Seyi Makinde. I have no doubt that with him as state Secretary working with other state officers the PDP is poised to continue to rule the state to beyond 2023.”
Waheed Akintayo equally congratulated the Chairman, Hon. Dayo Ogungbenro, State Publicity Secretary, Engr Akeem Olatunji, State Youth Leader, Hon. Ogunsina Oluwaseun Michael, Women Leader, Hon. Wulemot Ibitoye and other State officials elected at the congress.
Waheed Akintayo lauded the rare leadership tendency of the Executive Governor, Engr. Seyi Makinde for his exemplary leadership style in piloting the affair of PDP as a party and Oyo State as a whole.
He also lauded Ambassador Taofeek Arapaja, PDP National Vice Chairman for his leadership style that culminated in the peaceful and orderly congresses held at ward, local and state level of the party across the South West states
Waheed Akintayo urged the new and returning officials of the State Executives to work in the path of unifying all structures of the party towards the success of the party come 2023 general election.
