Kowa Party Presidential Candidate in the 2015 general elections and an outstanding scholar, Professor Oluremi Sonaiya will deliver the second Lekki Express Magazine anniversary lecture.
Professor Sonaiya will be talking on the topic; Community Development : Roles of the media at the event billed for December 1st, 2017 by 4 pm at Oriental Hotel, Lagos.
Contained in a press statement issued, copy of which was made available to Mega Icon Magazine by Mr. Bola Olalere, the Managing Editor of the magazine, the anniversary lecture is part of the activities marking the second year existence of the magazine.
“As part of our social responsibilities and agenda setting roles, we believed that developmental journalism is the key in any media house, to contributing maximally to the development of the community hence the topic for this year lecture, Community Development: Roles of the Media.
Lekki Express Magazine is a community newsmagazine circulating free within Lekki and environs and published monthly by Delight Communications.
According to Olalere, the night will also witnessed, the presentation of Lekki Express Community Development awards to some deserving individuals and corporate bodies in and around Lekki.
Among the recipients of the awards are Lekki Concession Company (LCC); Lekki Free Trade Zone; Mr Julius Ajayi, Mr Mathew Olaegbe , Esv. Patrick Ogungbola , Ms. Eniola Badmus, Bishop Isaac Idahosa , Barrister Ezeobi Chinedu ; Dr Bunmi Oyinsan; Sule Yesifu Zibiri; Nike Davies-Okundaye; Olusegun John Mayowa; Richard Nyong; Hon. Ajayi Alaba Saibu , Hon Kabiru Mohamad , Braithwaite Usifo Jumade and Princess K Oghene.
