Drama in Oyo Assembly As Member, Olaleye Wears PDP Inscribed Face Cap to The plenary

THERE was a mild drama in the Oyo State House of Assembly on Tuesday as lawmakers raised eyebrow over the dressings of Hon. Olusegun Olaleye popularly known as ‘Radical brother’ representing Ibadan North State Constituency II .

Hon Olaleye had put on a face cap with PDP inscription on it.

Calling the attention of the House to Olaleye’s dressing, Hon Olusegun Ajanaku representing Ibadan South West Constituency I raised a motion that Olaleye be properly dressed or leave the chamber, adding that members are not comfortable with the PDP inscribed face cap.

According to him, ” the House rule says that any member should be properly dressed while at the chamber”.

Corroborating him, Hon Solomon Akande from Ogbomoso South State Constituency submitted, ” Hon Oleleye’s dressing is a deliberate attempt to distract the house .

Attempts by  Olaleye to defend his alleged deliberate action was subdued with arguments from other members who contributed to the motion and he removed the face cap immediately which he later replaced with a traditional cap.

In his remarks, the Speaker, Hon Olagunju Ojo, however warned that any lawmaker that failed to conform with the dress code as stated by the house rules at the plenary will be sent out of the chamber.
