Cristiano Ronaldo has sent Manchester United star Marcus Rashford a signed Real Madrid shirt.
The England international showed off his latest gift on social media – including a personalised message from Ronaldo.
Former Old Trafford favourite Ronaldo sent Rashford a pair of Air Max 97 CR7 shows earlier this season and has now handed over a signed shirt.
The message to the United star read: “To Marcus, keep up the good work.”
The pair have developed a friendship despite never playing together or against one another – although Rashford has previously admitted his admiration for the Portuguese superstar.
Last year, he told the Telegraph: “I used to watch a lot of him growing up, all of his games.
“He was obviously a top player who won a lot of things in his career, so when you know he’s saying good things about you then it really stands out.
“He always played free. No matter where he was playing, he played free and went out there and expressed himself. When you do that, that’s when you play your best football.”
Rashford has endured a difficult season at Old Trafford, particularly since the arrival of Alexis Sanchez in January.
He was a late substitute in Saturday’s FA Cup semi-final victory over Tottenham at Wembley.
