A faction of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) in Oyo State called ‘Unity Forum’ has inaugurated a Contact Committee with a mandate to seal alliance talks with the newly registered African Democratic Congress (ADC) by former President Olusegun Obasanjo to align forces to wrestle power from the ruling All Progressives Congress, (APC) in the state.
The decision was reportedly reached at a stakeholders meeting held in Ibadan, the Oyo state capital on Monday.
Also, the committee members, as learnt include Senators representing Oyo Central and Oyo South Senatorial Districts, Monsurat Sumonu, Adesoji Akanbi respectively, Deputy Speaker, Oyo State House of Assembly, Hon. Musah Abdulwasiu among others.

Few weeks ago, after the APC National leadership upheld Governor Abiola Ajimobi led congress as authentic, the Unity Forum, had earlier hinted that it would communicates its next political movement in not too distance future.
Sources told our reporter that the success of the ongoing negotiation would determine its decision either to stay in the APC or another party. They disclosed further that the forum is making frantic efforts to seal its alliance with the ADC ahead of former Governor Rasidi Ladoja who has given seven days ultimatum to the PDP national to reverse its decision on the newly inaugurated state executive.
Though, former Governor of Osun State, Prince Olagunsoye Oyinlola who is the ADC coordinator, yesterday visited Governor Ladoja to woo him to the newly registered party. But, sources told Mega Icon Magazine that Chief Ladoja is yet to make any decision on the development.
Top sources also disclosed that the state governor has been reaching out to some prominent members of the Unity Forum, towards bringing them back into the APC.
