Oyo Govt. Shuts Emmanuel Alayande College of Education.

Oyo State Government has ordered the immediate and indefinite closure of the state owned institution, Emmanuel Alayande College of Education to avert breakdown of law and order.

Contained in a statement issued by the state Commissioner for Education, Science and Technology, Prof. Adeniyi Olowofela, conveyed the closure, in Ibadan, on Friday.

The statement further advised students to vacate the school premises immediately, while law enforcement agents have been urged to secure lives and government property on the college.

Olowofela said that the college would remain closed until normalcy returns.

  1. Students in our tertiary institutions should be mindful of the fact that violence is not the solution to any issue.
    Whatever their grudges should have been taken to the table for amicable resolution.
    Paucity of funds is a problem facing the whole nation. They should have supported Ajimobi in taking Oyo State to a greater height.

  2. That was a good decision by the government to restore peace on the campus in order for the student not to destroy government property.
