What Antonio Conte shouted at fourth official that got him sent off

Antonio Conte was sent to the stands for shouting at both the fourth official and referee Neil Swarbrick in Chelsea’s 1-0 win over Swansea.

The Blues boss became animated in the dying embers of the first half when the scores were level and the Swans were defending hard.

He was seen ranting and raving on the touchline, drawing the attention of the match official, who eventually sent him to the stands.

Conte apologised for his actions after the game, which Chelsea went on to win 1-0 thanks to an effort from Antonio Rudiger, and revealed what he said to the referee.

“The problem is I was frustrated because the opponents were wasting time,” explained the Chelsea boss.

“I tried to tell this to the fourth official not only once but a few times.

“I don’t know if it was fair [to be sent off] but we have to respect this decision.

“Sometimes there is a lot of frustration like in this case but sometime you can make a mistake and I did this.”
